The recently decided case Shifrin v. LDF Frozen Foods Inc. et al serves a reminder that equity can be created even without proper paperwork. The Ontario Superior Court upheld the applicant’s shareholding, finding an enforceable agreement and his entitlement to oppression remedy relief.
